Beachgoers will find a great deal of watersports activities at Treasure Island Beach and Dana Strand Beach, the two closest beaches to Laguna Niguel. However, there is no need to limit your options because there is a multitude of beaches in the area.
For those looking to hike or camp, Ronald W Caspers Wilderness Park, an 8,000-acre park that is open year-round for all activities. Caspers Park has a wide array of hiking and biking trails, as well as BBQ and picnic areas.
Closer to our campus is the beautiful Niguel Botanical Preserve, which has more than 2000 plant species and four miles of walking trails. The preserve has several different gardens, each with its own themes, including several inspired by the plant life in other countries like Australia and Chile.

Laguna Niguel Montessori Center is 15 miles away from John Wayne Airport, which is about a 26-minute drive in light to moderate traffic. To get to Laguna Niguel Montessori Center from John Wayne Airport, head southeast on North Airport Way, turn right onto MacArthur Boulevard, and merge onto CA-73 South.
On CA-73 South, continue for 11 miles and take exit 3. After exiting, follow signs for Moulton Parkway and turn right on Moulton. Continue on Moulton Parkway for about one mile and our campus is on the right.
Directions to John Wayne Airport from Laguna Niguel Montessori Center
The drive from Laguna Niguel Montessori Center to John Wayne Airport takes about 20 minutes in light to moderate traffic. To get to the airport, head north toward Moulton Parkway and turn right. Follow signs for CA-73 North and merge onto the highway.
Continue on CA-73 North for about 11 miles and take exit 15 towards Birch Street. In one-fifth of a mile, turn right onto Campus Drive and left onto North Airport Way to arrive at John Wayne Airport.
